Do you need an amp to drive these or can a nexus 6p or on board sound card be enough?

Adsi32They are only 62 Ohms, so a sound card will work OK. That said, a dedicated headphone amp is often suggested in order to hear them at their fullest.

N147JKI've heard ppl say that 62ohm is kind of weird and it's a lot harder than it looks like. Don't take my word for it, I'm no expert and I just ordered it.

Adsi32The most affordable amp/dac that you can buy is Fiio E10K. smsl is good too. I think they have a drop somewhere here on amps. But the bang for your buck they say is the o2/odac combo from mayflower. I'm waiting for those to drop For $199

Adsi32Amp is to make you headphones louder. Technically the more ohms(the resistance) in your headphones, the more you need power to overcome that resistance. (D)igital (A)udio (C)onverter basically makes the sound better. So a Amp/Dac combo makes your sound louder and much clearer/better.
