FaendolI'd go with the Fiio e10k I'd you need something simple. I liked my k240s on it greatly with the bass boost it helped fill out that low end on these. Hope that helps you out.

FaendolI have a K240 (which is similair in spec) and they need a LOT of juice. Their impedance is not that big, but they are very inefficient. I would recommend Magni 2 (here is a link https://schiit.com/products/magni-2 ) for $99 dollars. If you have never heard of the company, they basically make their equipment better than anything costing 2-3x more, and price it very low. Their service is great and lots of audiophiles love their products. P.S: While Fiio e10k is about $20 cheaper, Magni 2 is in a completely different class above e10k. And properly driven, 240 do NOT need a bass boost, as their bass is already elevated. Se pic below. (Unless you really WANT extra bass on top of that).

DenisGNot saying your wrong. But maybe the OP doesn't want to drop 200$ on a dac amp setup. He talks of his on board audio and asked for a dac since you linked a headphone only amp. I find that amp is a bit excessive of a purchase for this price range. But yes do they make some great products and powerful too. I will try my k240s on my smsl m6 and see how the bass acts to me. I didn't have the m6 around when I got my k240s. I didn't think they were that hard to properly power like my mark iii's or k7xx's. Will reevaluate them for sure see how they hold up. As for the graph, we'll that is for the mark 2 k240s not the studio mk 1. So unsure of changes they made between the two if any.

AnsrokashHey seeing as you own the k240s and k7xx and the k240's are basically the m220 how is the isolation on your k240's comparing them with k7xx. I currently own the k7xx and would like another set of headphones with some isolation but would prefer not to go full closed back since the sound stage is usually smaller. I just have an issue if someone is watching TV close by I can hear everything going on in the show. Unless someone on here can recommend some closed back headphones with good sound stage and imaging.

NinjaJayWell my friend I have an interesting situation with isolation on the k240s. I actually find once I put on music good luck me hearing what else is going on around me. Coming from people yelling at me from down a short hall or upstairs. From prior noisy computer fans. So I get lost in the sound but, gaming wise I enjoy them aswell. On that note, if the game calms down or music does too, you can hear things around you as you expect. But I wouldn't go down to these headphones unless you are fine with the sound difference in them. Once I went up to my k7xx reds. I couldn't imagine going back but, that's my thoughts on what I like to hear, with how well I do hear. I will retest the isolation if you'd like.

AnsrokashOh no I don't plan on getting rid of my k7xx I love 'em. I just wanted to have another set of headphones I can use when people are around me or the kids are running around screaming lol. Its when I am playing fps games and I am trying to listen to footsteps its just really hard to hear when theres background noise like a loud tv or kids yelling. Been doing research all day to find a good set of semi open or closed back headphones that doesn't have a huge compromise on imaging and sound stage.

NinjaJaySince you play for, the treble in this semi open should really appeal for those footsteps. I know their soundstage is accurate assuming atleast k240 good. I'd probably get the k240 myself unless fine with the lack of warranty on these headphones I see on the page. Earpads are not the most comfortable being firm and non velour. Which helps make them isolate better as velour will bleed in sound.
