Alright I don't know that much about headphones as of now but plan to learn more about them soon.
I currently use my Hyper X Cloud IIs & Sony MDR-ZX330 BT for listening to music on my pc and phone Samsung S7, so I was wondering what headphones would you guys recommend for the most clarity for music in the $100 and under range without the need of a DAC or an AMP to fully utilize them?
I've been thinking about getting the Philips SHP9500s on Newegg or would these AKG M220s be better?
I am open to all suggestions and recommendations, so please feel free to share any advice you have for me in regards to choosing the prefect headphones for my use.

Vlad916I personally own both headphones you said and the philips are great for gaming and spacial awareness. They are extremely flat though and so if you like a little bass in your music I wouldn't recommend for music.(they are my full time gaming headphones though) The m220's have absolutely useless stock earpads. They are hard as atron rock and hurt my ears after a very short listening period. I ordered brainwavz hm5 pads and swapped them out and couldn't be happier l. They are my favorite set of headphones.
