I assume the AKG K240 are the closest comparison to these? I just wanted to check prices, and it seems to be a pretty good deal, even including shipping.
I am currently using a Plantronics Gamecom 780 headset, and would like to up my audio, I have an external DAC/AMP with 6.5mm output. would this be a good upgrade for me and what <$10 microphone would you guys recommend?

kamikaziH2Omln21It is a tangent Amp-50, it is just a hand-down of my dad that is used for 2 speakers that were also handed down. As far as I know this is also a DAC right? I am not really at home with audiofile equipment.
Edit: I found some reviews of the K240 MK1 that say the bass is not as present. Is this also true for the M220?

SoRecklessSorry for the delay. Yes, these are less Bass present, and they can't be modded easily (like the K7xx) to change this. That AMP is strictly an AMP (not a DAC as well) to my understanding, but definitely are more than appropriate to drive the Headphones for your needs. If you were passionate about buying a DAC, getting a Fiio solution would be a fairly economic choice at the entry level. Make sure if used in a desktop situation, that you connect the AMP to the rear audio out, as to reduce EMI as much as possible.
