Doesn't Samson pretty much sell the exact same thing but for cheaper? I had headphones that looked exactly the same but were branded with Samson. iirc Samson is also an OEM for a lot of these companies.

kailaniSuperlux uses this design as well. Doesn't mean they all sound exactly the same. Not knocking on Superlux since they make decent budget stuff, but just saying. Wonder if anyone conveniently has both (or more) in their possession to compare. Between the AKG, Superlux, and Samson, they all could end up sounding about the same, which would narrow this down to a preference of color, hah.
Edit: The Samson SR850 and Superlux HD681 are at half the price of these right now though. That's a pretty compelling discount for anyone on a tight budget.
