Would this be an upgrade from turtle beach x32's for gaming?

benjaminrumneyHands down it would be. there no microphone, but there are adapters and external ones you can get that will work better than most in line mics on gaming headphones.
the semi open back headphones will work well with gaming, giving you a wider sound stage and better comprehension on the mid-rang noises (foot steps and voices fall in that rang usually). They use the same drivers and similar hardware to the AKG K240, and as a result have a relatively flat EQ, so when using on PC i would suggest using a EQ for finer tuning to your ears.
Word of warning thought, the cable is not a typical AUX cord, and if you are hard on cables, it can be a pain in the butt replacing the mini-XLR to 1/8inch (headphone jack). those cables are usually running between 30-50 dollars depending where you look. I wasn't able to find replacement cables on AKG's website, but im sure their customer support can send some out for a price, maybe free if its within warranty.
