Randomgamer101AKG K240s get many praises from gamers for their very good soundstage. As M220s are almost the same headphones, they should do good in gaming as well :)
Randomgamer101audio-technica AD700X + Samson Go Mic = $140 which WILL destroy any gaming headset in that price range and I dare say +$75 to $100 above that as well. The Samson Go Mic is a very compact cardioid mic that has a omni-directional as well as uni-directional mode. It also has a -10db mode which is great for clarity, background noise reduction, podcasts, and voice overs for a more intimate vocal sound for the audience. The 4.5 / 5 stars and +1,100 reviews on Amazon should tell you it's a great mic. I don't like the fact that you have to glue the modmic onto a headphone. The Go Mic can also screw onto a boom arm if you happen to have one.
killz4goldDepends on the mixing, you're probably used to most other headphones providing more bass than needed. These are fairly balanced and you can use software equalizers to adjust it if you need it.
Randomgamer101I'll probably get crucified for saying this, but if you need a little more bass, just use an EQ if you don't have the hardware (DAC). You'll be more than happy with that while gaming, although I recommend almost never using software EQs when it comes to music
JustinDittActually I do agree withHARDWARE Bass Boost- Love it with SMSL SAP-5 , then K240 becomes great for gaming, have just discovered by accident bass boost switch :)
Boosting bass with EQ doent change much.
I do use EQ with music, simply to personalize my experience, but this is somehow against pro-audio rules ;)
