Are these the same as the K240's? I think the K240's may have been the worst headphones I have ever listened to. To be honest I have yet to hear a decent pair of AKG's.

ZooskiYou shouldn't be shopping for an audiophile grade headphone if you really think "K 240s are the worst"...... You basically just committed a sin just by saying that.

ZooskiAkg is kinda picky. People either love them or hate them. Furthermore, akg needs a good set up to release its full potential. I have an old k701 and i hated it at first. Then i got an amp and fell in love with it.

ZooskiWell, I guess we need to know first, what's a good pair of headphone you've heard? Then we can start from there.

ZooskiThe more famed AKGk240's are the old classic ones, referred to as sextett's made in the 1970's ; which are then differentiated into early production / mid production / late production. Very different from the AKG k240 studio's (or MK II's ) of recent times. In between that was also the AKG k240 DF, and I think M. Which did you listen to ?
