Damn this price.... Don't make me do this.. I already have HD650, HE-500, UE6000, Monoprice... More than enough for a pair of ears... This is so attractive... and there are the new Grados e series... Please don't tempt me.. I have no self-control

I've gone through every TOTL pair of headphones besides grado and often find myself thinking back yo other pairs for certain genres.

GL1TCH3DI hate you so much man. AKG does sound very different to my collection. I was thinking about getting Grados 80e since no reason just want to have it. Plus they suppose to be just good period. You have any experience? if you were me would u pick grados over this. I've never heard grados but I have heard k701 which kinda didn't like, but it was in a electronic store with their mysterious amp.

sanibuyI owned grados and akg among others (was just never interested in high end grados since I didn't find the price justifying the performance to my ears)
The grados have much different emphasis. I would go as far as to say they're polar opposites. Grados aim to emphasize a punchy rock sound while AKGs try and be neutral.
The soundstage on grados is horrendous for an open back while AKG really excels in this aspect for the price.
