I had an original AK Octane chair that was blue and black and made with mesh/cloth that last over 10 years without any damage but I wanted to update/upgrade. So early in 2016 I purchased a DXRacer King chair that uses this fake leather like material and the main seam across the seat cushion is already coming undone from the threads after just over a year! I've contacted them about replacing this for me under warranty but they are ignoring my emails. What makes your chairs better?
DecidenceYou mean that your previous experience with an AK chair was not enough to convince you? Maybe I'm missing something.

AKRacingAmericaBut the AK Octane chair was owned by a different company at the time I bought it from Best Buy (mid-2000's) as far as I know, and the material was a cloth type. I remember looking into a replacement around 2010 and couldn't find the company anymore. Aren't all these chairs that fake leather stuff now? I am worried the seams and quality control could be an issue and wouldn't be covered under warranty.
DecidenceYes, that's sort of true and sort of not. The Yangzhou OK Seat Company has made AKRacing products since 2001. What they have not had is their own company managing and distributing the products in North America. They have sold chairs from the factory to various distributors and resellers in the region but never controlled what happened to it once it left the factory. So earlier this year, we opened the first ever factory owned and authorized AKRacing company in the US. So, we're here now for good.
As for the issue with faux leather, that is one of quality. All faux leather is not the same. We use only the highest grade of faux leather and that is why we give a five year warranty to the chair, along with the 10 year warranty to the steel frame. We are the same factory you bought the chair from 12 years ago, the quality is the same or maybe better. Don't let your poor experience with DX sour you on the product.
