I was looking at this chair and the V2 premium. Are there any significant differences between them? is one considered the "better chair"?

SyrenHi Syren, Thanks for your question.  Yes, there are differences between the two. The Premium Series is a couple of steps up in the product line. It primarily features greater total foam weight, with more foam packed around the shoulder area and back.  Whether you desire this or not is a matter of personal preference. Even though their general dimensions are approximately the same, since they use the same frame, the Overture feels more roomy.  The Premium also features our AKDesign and manufacture   five-star base with higher strength and density than our standard base.
But every AKRacing chair is made at the highest possible quality for its price point and is demonstrably superior to other gaming chairs at the same price.  Look at these photos of the upper frame of a very well known competitor. Notice that rather than being inserted inside the chair's foam structure like ours are

, this part of the frame is covered by cheap foam wrapping.    And when you break it away , you will also notice that the frame is not even painted.  This chair sells for close to $400 on some sites.

All of our frames are painted and some are chrome plated.   And you can see our foam molds completely encase the frame with foam. No exposed parts or cheap compromises. This is true even in our entry level models.

Hope this helps.
