$36.80 shipping to Canada?? Why would anyone pay 111% of the price of the product on shipping? This equates to nearly $70 CAD for a game (not including duty that you will likely have to pay) that you can buy for $52-$60 at a local board game store.
Massdrop is not going to see more interest in board games unless they seriously drive the shipping price down.

DreaMagineIt's great that Massdrop is offering great games, but the prices always suck. Every online game store offers pretty much all of the games that MD does at lower prices and free shipping (with $100 order).
Good for people too lazy to learn about where to shop for board games online, but horrible for gamers who already know where the good prices exist (not here).

ultraconsumerI agree that the prices here can be hit and miss but to paint people as lazy for purchasing from this site is pretty inconsiderate and arrogant.
To say that you are able to find a lower price somewhere else by "only paying an additional $60" is a terrible rationale. Great possibly if you are looking to buy multiple games or making a bulk purchase but not if you are only purchasing this game.
Oh and if someone is too "lazy" to look around, the cheapest place according to boardgameprices.com is Amazon.com where the price is approximately $43.50 or at cardhaus.com where you can get a dinged and dented copy for approximately $49.00 after shipping. This means that while this isn't a super great deal, it does save someone a few dollars if they are interested.

DreaMagineDitto from me. Was just about to hit the join button but then noticed the stupidly high shipping...

SandmankevI'm sorry if the term "lazy" is offensive to some. But the truth is, many people are willing to pay a higher price on here or on Amazon simply because they don't want to take the time to look for a better price elsewhere. Call it what you will.
I'm not suggesting you buy it from one of the alternatives unless you are spending enough to reach the free shipping threshold. That would be stupid and I was very explicit in saying you'd need to spend $100+ for the free shipping.
Literally the ONLY advantage to buying it here is that you can get the game, and nothing else, for 1-2 dollars less than Amazon. But you'll wait 3+ weeks to get it. Now if Massdrop could figure out how to get this stuff shipped quicker, *maybe* it'd be worth it to buy through them. But for all intents and purposes, many of the "deals" on Massdrop are not "deals" at all, they're just a way to get a single item at a "meh" price because you don't want to pay for Prime or spend $100+ on a single game order to get much better prices elsewhere.

SandmankevWe are talking about Canada. Massdrop shipping charges make every board game deal completely irrelevant for us. We can get any game at amazon.ca paying full price and shipping and still save $20 or $30 from Massdrop price.
