A modestly sized dress watch, the Worldtimer from Alexander Journeyman packs a world of function into its 40-millimeter case. Featuring a GMT hand to track the time in another time zone, and a worldtimer bezel to align that time with a particular city, the watch is a constant reminder of the world around us Read More
I like the overall design. HOWEVER one thing doesn't make sense to me:
- On the black version, the hands are ok and easily distinguishable, with the hours stopping at the beginning of the indexes and minutes at their ends
- On the white version however, a different handset is used, with different proportions that make it difficult to differentiate hours from minutes, as hours go all the way until the middle of the indexes.
This makes little sense to me. First time I see a totally different handset used on watches from the same model in different dial colors. And, on the white one, they look waaaaaaaay too much alike :( Otherwise pleasant design !
Aleskb It was a conscious design choice; the designers conducted a study and found the respondents gravitating to the different color/hand design match.
I like the watch with the white face and blue accents but it seems that the close up picture is showing the trim piece by the #7 (not sure correct terminology) coming up. Makes me question the durability of the watch.
GregoriD Wow! You certainly have an incredibly keen eye. Well spotted! It’s a good thing that the imagery is of a production sample and not a saleable piece.
