jleechpeIt's definitely a good price and the product seems solid from the reviews on Amazon and similar. Still a bit strange, wonder which of these is the actually making these and not just selling them.
RunawayHi Runaway,
I figured I would clarify. Often the "tooling shell" is mass produced. We call this public tooling. This is a public tooled shell that we are all using. The difference is really inside of the shell. It comes down to the components used. Ours has the best Bluetooth Chip, the largest battery we could fit in the shell and a really good quality microphone. This is why we normally charge more than these competitors. With the deal price, we are still cheaper than the competitors.
I hope this clarifies and helps answer.
AnotherCastleAppreciate it! Out of all of our products, this is my personal favorite. My personal 2 use cases are:
- At work, I like being able to listen to music but hear what is going on around me.
- It is a great product while exercising with someone else. No need to ever taker the earbuds out to hear someone talk to you.
FRESHeTECHLet's see then. The KSCAT says on the side 5V-300mA so does the KOAR. So it's the same battery.
The page here and Amazon claims Bluetooth 4.1, so does the KSCAT and KOAR.
The specs on the Amazon page for the KSCAT has the same information as the page here.
You claim you only got the shell, that's pretty obvious, but I am not seeing any evidence you actually supplied your own internals. There is no shame in buying something from china and reselling it somewhere else; local distribution is not against the law after all. Just be upfront about it and don't lie about it, provide some proof if you actually changed the internals. Like I said, even if you didn't, that's totally fine, the product seems okay and the price is good, just no one likes to be lied to.
FRESHeTECHPresumably this isn't the first time you have had to face these questions then: http://tech.co/freshetech-chinese-knockoffs-2014-07
Judging by your profile pic I am talking to the man himself so how come this all looks so strange and you have registered your domain under the old LLLo Inc contact, your office still shows up as consulting company when you look for the address and FresheTech seems to be one of many business ventures geared toward waterproof bluetooth gear. Now I admire such determination in the face of the obvious ripoffs from china and the like. At the same time the similar specs of this unit and other products you offer strikes me a bit; plus reviews seemingly confirming the specs as valid. Unless you openly disclose and provide some proof of what you are actually doing you will always have to face such allegations, all I want is the truth... any international shipping, but I doubt that's happening. I did not mean to sound attacking, but in todays world one has to be careful with such things as you have clearly experienced yourself. Well enjoy the Florida sun :)
Mind shining some insight on this?
