Oh my goodness I received mine today and I love this knife already! It feels sturdy in my hand and I really enjoy the color, I ordered the OD/OD version, and I enjoy the grip and heft of the knife. I am going to see if I can get some different liners but overall the knife is a very usable tool. If I was still in the Army it would be a serious contender for my field knife. The sheath is great and I love the little skull for the lanyard too. Great tool and I will be purchasing more knifes from them in the future.
RochambeauxHey. My sheath holds the blade acceptably. I can shake it upside down a few times and it's fine. If I give it a vigorous shake it comes loose. It is looser than other custom kydex sheaths I have for say busse kin.
I note also there is no sheath drainage point on my sheath . It's be easy to put one in. I like that the webbing slots on the sheath are belt sized ....lots of kydex sheaths don't have that.
I personally don't favour skull Lanyard beads so I haven't put the skull on yet. Maybe I will later ...or on some thing else that needs a bead.
Yeah the included Lanyard cord was too short for me. I knotted it onto my SAK Lanyard loop. It's basically the same cordage we call hootchie cord here in Oz (for hootchie /basha tarps) I have a heap. Might use some paracord instead.
So yeah the sheaths functional for me not the greatest by a long shot but far from the worst also.
I'd say throwing on a tek lok clip...carefully drilling a moisture exit and maybe adjusting the tension of the kydex with a heat gun would fix it up real good.
Hope that helps
