Folks - we'd love any feedback you have for this design. Since it's been such a hit we're planning to introduce a few variations on it. what do you think about some of these variables/ideas:
- Different sizes/shapes for different pocket types? - Any need for a key ring or other key storage? - What about a version that attaches to your belt? - Would you like the idea of a tool roll that fits in your bag? - Small wallets/organizers that fit inside the pocket pouches? - Any other needs or little annoyances in your EDC we can work on?

AllegoryGoodsI'll likely wait to check out the next iterations, but in general I'd really like something like this- I'd especially love it for travel, it'll make emptying my pockets into the tray at security that much faster :D
For me the biggest hitch is the zipper. I don't want zippers in my pockets, so I wouldn't want it on an organizer inside my pocket, you know? It would also remove a lot of other small UX problems: Risk of scratching a phone, the loop in the zipper toggle catching on anything with any sort of hook shape to it (pen clip, bottle opener), etc.
In terms of small EDC annoyances: I mean I could describe the contents of my pockets, but if you want to set up a form or an email address (and, say, maybe a $5 coupon for first 100 participants, whatever), I'll just take a *picture* of the contents, send it to you, and describe what I could use help on. In my case it's having two sets of car keys from back when the dongles were separate from the key, and too enormous for modern day key organizers. Damn you, 2004. Damn you.

AllegoryGoodsI think keep this one lean for low profile in the pocket. Is this one for jeans?

AllegoryGoodsGood tool rolls are such a rare thing these days. I am using a 40-year old one that my father used before me to keep some essential tools in my car when i am out on a job. It is still holding up but you certainly see it aging, I am afraid it doesnt have much life left in it. When you design one, dont make it to big. On the inside make a couple of puches in the leather and stick an elastic band with little loopholes above it so that it can hold a variety of tools, from screwdrivers to wrenches to a simple voltmeter. Give the elastic band some sort of upwards angle to it, for it to allow larger tools on one side and smaller items on the other. Add a leather flap on the top to stop anything from falling out. To close it up, simply add two leather straps on the side for the bigger tools to just tie up when it is rolled up. That would allow the rolls to fit a multitude of tools in differant sizes and always be able to securly stay rolled up.

AllegoryGoodsoh and could you do like a fanny pack type of thing that attaches to your belt to hold extra stuff? Maybe just keep it low profile and give it some elastic pouches and a few small ones for pens and lights and stuff, that would be cool

AllegoryGoodsQuick, basic stuff: Lose the zipper completely - thinner, lighter, and less danger to phones. Make the bottom square, or have that option, so it fits non pointed pockets. Improve the elastic stitching - mine is coming undone after having my fob in there and pulling/replacing my knife for several weeks.
More advanced stuff: Possibly extend the elastic around the other side for more storage and so the square bottom ones at least would be ambidextrous. Could possibly use only one layer of thicker leather and skip the center pocket entirely. Especially with elastic on both sides this could work well. I personally have yet to use either the card slot or the center pocket for anything, though I can see the possible value of each.
Comments I am not sure how to address: It is easy to pop a knife out of the elastic, but not to get tighter clips back into it without pulling the pouch out of the pocket. I'd love to be able to get my flashlight in there too, (it is a small single AAA one).
