Overall impression? Attractive EDC for those interested
Built with leather and thus made to age well, holds a notebook, pen or pencil, stows cables, with plenty of room for an on-the-go wallet or what have you, this is an attractive piece of kit. After it arrived, the first thing I did was remove the carabiner as I would not ever attach this to whatever I’m wearing, a bag, and so on. No matter: I bought this for the pouch and it has served well.
I would recommend this product.
For something that is supposed to hang from the belt it's really big. It's like having a book on your hip. The build quality is nice though. I just can't see myself wearing this around as intended.
This has been a wonderful journal cover and pouch and has been attached to my side since the day I got it. I'm using the Elan Publishing Field Books and have used it to carry spare keys, carry extra paracord and the fact I can have a pen at my side without worrying about it leaking in my pocket it wonderful.
So far it has shown no signs of wear and even though I have caught it on things and it's been swinging around wildly. I'm really impressed with the build quality!
It's a neat accessory! I got mine to hold odds and ends in the glove box of my car, so they didn't all rattle around. I almost want another one to keep in my backpack now. Seems very well made, but time will tell on that one. I do wish the zippered pocket was a bit bigger.
The product I received was sturdy, and very functional, although it vbulked out a little more than expected once loaded up. It was, however, not quite what I had hoped (hasn't really fit into my daily carry; at least not yet), and there were some cosmetic issues with stitching and finishing that kept it from being a five star.
I love this thing. I used it every single day at work. I use it to store a notebook, a small rechargeable flashlight, and a pen, as well as a couple of cards on the front zipper pocket. I get compliments about it probably weekly from people who want to know where I got it, because they want one of their own.
