ismelllikepoopWhen a team of four people are handcrafting 100+ of these items in a week, each of which has multiple customization options, we occasionally miss something we should have caught. When that happens we resolve it as quickly as possible. We don't rest until each customer is 100% satisfied with their product, and our customer support contact (service@allegorygoods.com) is posted to this board multiple times.
AllegoryGoodsThis was the response I received:
"We use minimally processed leather for all our products so the pieces often have some imperfections in them. I remember this piece and there is no structural issues with the flap, but I completely understand if you don't like the aesthetics of it. I'm happy to switch it out for a different piece for you."
I don't like how this piece was deemed acceptable and was sent out. I appreciate the effort spent in resolving this and have enjoyed the quality of the products I've received prior and since.
ismelllikepoopBased on the response I received, it was because leather is a natural product and it doesn't affect the structure of the piece...
I'm happy with the fix though, not so with it shipping like that.
ThriolithGlad we were able to resolve it for you. The difficult thing on our end is that we have several customers who in fact prefer these kinds of marks and character, while others see it as a defect. The extremely liberal return and replacement policy was our best solution to a diverse set of preferences and expectations among our customers. We are taking another look at how to handle this on massdrop, as it seems like this group tends to prefer more pristine leather. For now we plan to hang on to pieces with more natural markings for allegory direct customers who often request character pieces.
