For any weight-conscious folks in case this gets redropped:
Rhodia Webby by itself: 350g with cover: 440g Comparable moleskine: 332g (I had one handy)
My first thought was that the leather was thinner than I expected but it is super nice & I actually think this is great from a weight perspective. The leather is super soft and nice to the touch.
The top and bottom edges are cut but not folded (single layer of leather) except where the flaps are so the leather looks a little unfinished there which I wasn't expecting. This isn't a big deal and it looks like it will wear very nicely.
Agree with @SnakeDr that the strap for the buckle is a bit long. In the pictures it looked like this was intentional to allow you to put a pen there but I can't really use it this way because even with a fatter pen there is enough play that it is really floating out there and flops a bit. It would be nice to have an pen loop for optional use on the inside back cover instead and have the strap be shorter.
I had asked earlier if this would work for a Moleskine as well since I use both. The width variance between the two is too much and this is fitted perfectly for the Webby, so I would count on just using it for this.

Keep in mind that as you use the cover you will accumulate some stuff in the pockets, and if you're like us a few other pieces of paper folded and tucked between some pages. We wanted to make sure we left enough room for it to expand and hold more stuff. Keep us posted as to how this works out long term and we'll certainly dial it in based on community feedback.

AllegoryGoodsIt is precisely the roominess of this cover that appeals to me, since it not only accommodates the Rhodia, but also the Leuchtturm 1917, plus the notes and ephemera Chad is alluding to above. If I had any changes to make to the cover (I own the charcoal one with blue stitching, and it is AWESOME) it would be less room in the snap flap. It doesn't work as a pen holder, so it is just dead space. Other than this, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT: leather, craftsmanship, minimalist style, and generous personalization options. Looking forward to a NEW one in saddle!

heartsleeve310So, I have been using the Leuchtturm 1917. You say this fits well with that notebook but it appears the Leuchtturm has many more pages than that Rhodia. How tight is the fit of the cover with the 1917?

LanceLLance, it is snug, but it fits with a little maneuvering. I would also say that if you decide to use this with the Leuchtturm 1917, make it a permanent decision, as the soft leather will stretch a bit. I started with the 1917, and it was fine, but I finished with that 1917 and didnt have a replacement, while I had several Rhodiaramas on hand... so that's what's in mine now. But the new one coming with this drop will go to another 1917, once I replace it. Hope that helps.
