Endless Possibilities
Ergonomics and ease of use were key design considerations during the development of the QU-16. Allen & Heath has drawn on their more than 40 years of experience designing mixing surfaces to ensure the QU-16 is both approachable by novices and comfortable for veterans. Knob per function control in the Superstrip gives you the capability to react quickly in any situation and the recallable AnalogiQ preamps provide input gain control in 1dB noise free steps thanks to zero crossing detection circuitry.
Processing
All input channels have a variable high pass filter, gate, fully parametric EQ, compressor, channel delay, and ducker. Mono channels are stereo-linkable. Mixes 1-10 and the main stereo output have fully parametric EQ, graphic EQ, compression, and delay. The graphic EQ can be flipped to the faders. There are 4 onboard FX processors which can be any combination of the following: reverb, delay, ADT, chorus, symphonic chorus, flanger, phaser, and gated reverb.
The Snake
Made in Rochester NY, the standard Medusa features include: heavy-duty powder-coated-steel stagebox with Whirlwind connectors and integrated handle, and the heavy-duty flexible Whirlwind by Belden NEC CM rated multipair cable. Each pair contains two twisted 24GA 7x32 polyethylene insulated conductors with 100% foil shield and 24GA drain wire.
