Man oh man--I have seen some dumb-ass things in this category but this is a new high! Tomas, I don't know what you're smoke'n up there but it must be high-grade!
So somebody walks into your office and says: "You know how waring a fanny-pack can make you look a little dorky sometimes? Well we've got this new thing where you wear 'em cross-wise against your chest--pushes the dorky needle right up to "Totally Ridiculous." We see a big opportunity in the market for consumers looking to make the transition from the old, "a little dorky" tourist-look, into this new, "Totally Ridiculous" life-style/niche. And best of all: our focus group research suggests this particular demographic is willing to shell out around $60 retail, to facilitate the move from their fannies, to their chests."
And you said: "Hot-dog; sign me up!" didn't you? Of course you did, because you're a god-damn Visionary!
Okay look, I've gotta sure thing for a follow-up drop--this one's a killer: we buy a bunch of Taiwanese, tourist-grade fanny packs and hire some trendy look'n Millennial models to put 'em on top their heads, see? And then we have 'em fasten the waistband right under their chins, see? Kinda like a bike helmet see?!
And we call 'em...wait for it..."Hair Bags"! Get it? Can't you just see the ad campaign now?
"Hey, where'd I put my keys?" "Oh yeah, right here, on top of my head where I can never lose them--so handy too!"
Or better:
"Oh, I am so digging this jam through my IEMs, where's the volume knob so I can turn up my chill? Oh, it's up here, in my MD Hair Bag, where it's so convenient to reach (and man, am I getting the looks from the chicks today or what?!)"
So, what do say? You do all the work and I get two percent of the gross for the creative genius bit--do we have a deal?!

RayFThe head is an often overlooked part of the anatomy in regards to Everyday Carry.

Can the strap be completely removed from the bag? I'm considering attaching this to the outside of a larger bag that already has attachment hardware.

Saucy_Puppet_ShowAccording to the description: “Finally, a removable strap allows for comfortable carry over your right or left shoulder”. Last sentence in the description. Hope this answered your question.

Saucy_Puppet_ShowYes you can fully remove the strap, I have two of them and they are both amazing.

Yes, this seems a bit pricey, but look at the quality and features. If it could be worn around the waist as well as a fanny pack (or bum bag), I'd consider it.

climbthemtnsHi there! Technically you could wear it as a fanny pack; it's really up to you. A lot of these 'sling pack' styles are really just fanny packs, that folks are wearing cross-body like a small messenger bag.

Seems like a genuinely useful product, but sixty bucks for a purse?

~3000 backers, ~600 comments. A complaint rate of nearly twenty percent seems high. Maybe it's normal for crowdfunding.

MassdropbearIt's actually very common. Most people think of crowd funded projects like they are buying from a retailer, but instead you're helping get a product, and often company, off the ground. There is ALWAYS a delay, and people get upset. Many times, costs are misunderstood, and the companies have to start selling retail just to make enough profit to get the original backers their product at the deeply discounted prices. Many backers already have their rewards, and Alpaka seems to be selling their bags through multiple sites and shipping them already across the globe. The upset people are pretty much the only ones who comment on campaigns..it sucks, and most of us have been burned once or twice, but mainly it just requires patience that most people aren't willing to you've a fledgling company.
