Heavy Vintage Cotton for Warmth & Durability
For protection in heavy winds and sub-freezing temperatures, grab the Alpha Industries N-2B Barricade cotton parka. It’s inspired by the N-2B parka first introduced to the US Air Force air and ground crews in the mid-1950s—only now, the nylon of the original has been replaced with heavyweight garment-washed cotton with a diamond-quilted lining for added warmth and durability. Some of the Barricade’s classic mil-spec features include a split hood that unzips to lay flat and a utility pocket (originally dubbed the cigarette/pencil pocket) on the sleeve. The snap-down storm flap and knit rib cuffs and waistband seal out the cold, while the fleece-lined pockets keep your hands toasty.
