Named after Lone Peak, Utah’s rugged 11,000-foot mountain, the Altra Lone Peak 3.0 trail running shoe is sporty and durable for trail racing and hiking. With its MaxTrac outsole, the shoe has sticky rubber for more grip and a TrailClaw tread pattern that positions lugs beneath your metatarsals for increased traction. The upper has overlays and mesh to protect your feet, and the cushioned FootShape toe box promotes comfortable toe splay.

About Altra
Altra was born in the back room of a Wasatch Mountains running store, where owner Golden Harper met countless runners who complained of knee pain, shin splints, and other injuries from traditional pointed toe boxes and thick, heavy heels. A competitive runner himself, Golden began experimenting with shoe alterations to solve his customers’ problems. By melting the outsoles (in his trusty toaster oven!), he was able to remove the excess heel elevation for a more natural, relaxed foot position. The new platform design was dubbed Zero Drop.
