Altra Olympus 1.5 Running Shoes are a general improvement over a community favored design. A remarkable fit meets a forgiving running experience, lending to soft, comfortable journeys on difficult terrain. Maximalist running shoes offer impeccable cushion without the added weight, making them ideal for long jogs, trailblazing, and cross country running.

Starting with the top, the upper mesh of the shoe is fast-drying and highly resistant to abrasion and damage. Altra’s Gaiter Trap acts as an optional velcro connection to keep gaiter’s in place. The A-Bound layer in the midsole is made of recycled compound for comfortable wear. Dual Layer EVA foam adds additional comfort in the midsole. A Sticky Rubber outsole provides necessary multi-directional traction while running.

Olympus shoes feature a zero-drop profile, which equalizes the height of the heel and forefoot that allows the wearer’s foot to hit relatively parallel to the ground for a more natural positioning. The tread pattern of the first Olympus release has been upgraded with increased grip and a lug depth of 2 millimeters. The overall fit is much more contoured, thanks to a FootShape toe box, a Natural Ride System, and metatarsal-specific shaping.
