JediJonStill waiting, this is getting really irritating. 2/11 it said we'd be notified if the delay was over 30 days. Still nothing. This might be my last Drop order. How long would it take to give us an update?
NicktheKnifeI actually just opened my email today (3/18) and was surprised to see a notice from Drop that my knife has just been shipped today. So, I would hope that you recieved a similar email, along with anyone else who has been waiting this long. It's definitely been the longest wait period for a drop that I took part in, which have only been a handfull or so. Drop also recently announced that they are moving all edc and audio to their new Amazon store, so they can focus more on the keyboards and keycaps they sell. Apparently, that's their most lucrative community, so like all companies that only care about the bottom end, that's where their attention is now focused. However, supposedly their Amazon store will remain active with new items consistently being added, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. It's made me so reluctant to want to ever order from drop again that I too most likely won't be ordering from drop anytime in the foreseeable future. They really have steered far from the community path they initially set the business on, and now are only thinking about the business, and less about the community.
NicktheKnifeI can now also say I got a email today from FedEx saying my knife has indeed been shipped, and provided a tracking number, too. At this point all I can say is, well, it's about damn time.
JediJonShipped with FedEx smart post, the slowest service you could pay for. Hoping mine arrives this week. Too bad Drop is just a shadow of what Massdrop started as.
NicktheKnifeYeah, I live in San Diego, and I watched the tracking on mine go from NJ to TN, then to KY, to OH, then IN, THEN back to KY again. At this rate I'll hopefully recieve it by Easter, but who knows.
I agree, when it was Massdrop, there was always a good deal or two on drops, and it felt more like a community. Now however, as Drop, they're a shadow of the former, indeed.
