Screen didn’t work
Unfortunately, the screen didn’t work, and given that I bought this for a family member and they didn’t inform me until well after a year that the watch never worked, I was unable to get any assistance wrt a detective product, via Drop or the manufacturer.

Accurate and efficient
I bought this item as a gift for my brother-in-law, it turned out to be the ideal gift since it has been an ally to control his pulse and his diet, quite useful in his exercise routine and the organization of his day!

It’s worth the money
If your looking for simple sports tracker you can’t beat this. 30 day battery (tested) it’s beats the choirs of charging your iWatch every day for basically similar functions. It’s light and you have more options for straps online for around 10 bucks. It has always on display so it can actually tell time (unlike others) For the money it’s very hard to beat!

For the price (which included a MD discount for a delayed delivery on another item), this is a very good value, once you get past set-up and charging woes. Set-up and pairing required numerous trips to Google-land on why it wasn't working. Useful instructions were non-existent out of the box. My charging dock never sat correctly and therefore didn't charge and I didn't even realize it wasn't charging until I went online and saw how it was supposed to look on the watch screen. Finally, forcefully, got it to dock, but it's a learned technique. I may have gotten a dock or watch slightly off-spec so not everyone will have the same problem. Didn't want to pair with my Moto X 2nd gen and didn't want to sync after it finally paired. The whole initial experience was bad or worse. Once past set-up, however, the watch has been a pleasure. After trying several watch faces I imported one "complete" watch face, left the light on and got about a week of use, still pretty good in my opinion. Went back to one of the simpler watch faces (no weather), turned the light off, and after another week I am at 93%, really good. Visibility under normal light is great to readable. Heart rate never seems to change, but steps and calorie burning seem reasonably close to reality. GPS works fine and doesn't take too long to work. I don't need the watch for anything complicated, so it's a decent fitness/watch combo for me.

I was a little skeptical at first, but for the price this is an amazing smartwatch. Does a great job with notifications, activity tracking, weather, and battery life. What more could you want? If you need better iOS integration go ahead and spend six times as much.

Amazfit BIP... why aren't other Smart Watches like this? The Amazfit BIP is a complete fitness Smart Watch that's a remarkable bargain. It has an always on 'Capacitive-Screen', 15 day battery life, plus extras like heart rate, GPS and water resistance. It works with Android and iOS and gets notifications. The MI Fit App isn't as refined as Fitbit for fitness tracking or health tracking, no installable apps and the Stop Watch/Timer will not run in the background... it only runs when selected.. I work outside a lot and when inside I work under very bright lights... so I completely turned off the screen back-light to save even more on battery life... at 17 days I still had 15% power. Basically when the screen back-light is turned on, every time a notification comes in (if toggled on in settings) the back-light comes on. The watch already vibrates slightly anyway, so I turned off the back-light completely. The Amazfit BiP only comes with 12 faces, but if you want to add a few thousand more... look for Stu's Reviews on YouTube. The Best kept Secret is done by downloading AmazTools on the App Store. Once the App is installed on your phone, just Browse the many Watch Faces and install one. The Amazfit BIP will only take one Custom watch face at a time, but if you want to find even more watch faces, head over to amazfitwatchfaces.com. Lastly, the Amazfit BIP is all plastic so it might feel a little cheap. And the Stock band is also pretty flimsy. If you head over to Amazon.com you will find a plethora of great replacement bands. I purchased a band that is every bit as good as the Apple Series 3 or 4 band and locks the same way. I also purchased a rubber bumper case the watch fits into for added protection as well as a package of self-healing face protecting skins. I'm an iOS User and had no trouble getting it to sync to my Apple iPhone 7 running iOS 12.1.4. The Apple Watches are great and have loads of Apps to install on them- but you're not getting 15-17 days of battery life and if you do break the Apple Watch, your out $400... the Amazfit BIP here on Massdrop was $65! What a Bargain!

applguyHad a couple of other similar Fitbit watches but this one is great because of the long battery life - even with bluetooth on I'm getting weeks of life from the Bip. Plus you can customise the watch faces to make them really cool and display the info you want to see: https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/bip/ I love the cold cathode display, which is pretty "Retro"! The only downside for me was the rubber watch band/strap which irritated my skin. I replaced this with a leather one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071P194MS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Oh and the app is quite limited, using the Notify & Fitness app and this was so useful I went paid on that. All in all a great little watch. Not fully waterproof so avoid swimming in it but you can wash it down with no problems. Recommended!

Does exactly what I want it to do: gives me notifications without hijacking my phone, tells me the weather, and has a battery that lasts for almost two weeks.

Great value for a smart watch. Integration with iOS works fine - notifications deliver timely. Would like more face options - but this will expand as the amazfit community grows. Activity tracking on par with other trackers I have used (fitbit and misfit). I would recommend.

It's a great value for a smartwatch. It is light and comfortable for all day and even night wear, and measures my activities well.
