Ugh, I would love these as a desk item, but I can't justify the price tag.
She needs to find a way to bring the production cost down.

CrookidThe idea for the massdrop is to group-buy and have MassDrop (the platform) curate and manage the reduction in price when sufficient number of buyers are interested.
From the description, the most expensive is the Copper pair going for $27.99 (excl. shipping) after fully unlocked, whereas the MSRP was $38.50 without doing this massdrop.
Also, imagine what it'd be like after the Copper is properly patina'd! The colour tone and look of the whole dice would be different and looks really awesome, at least to me :)

BuDn3kkID@BuDn3kkID With all due respect, I personally have spent around $600 on Massdrop and you haven't spent one dime on Anything! So I would hardly consider myself a troll who "backs for a dollar to troll a project and drop out at the last minute" I actually would buy these dice if I get some reassuring answers to my legitimate questions and concerns. So far everything I've bought on mass drop has Been good quality and I don't think that a regular buyer on Massdrop is out of bounds questioning quality of products or reliability of vendors. I do find it strange that someone who has never bought anything on Massdrop pops up and says I'm trolling. CRL has used shills before, they have had quality problems before,, and they have had a poor track record for delivering on time before. If they do that on Kickstarter how do we know they won't do it to us here? These are issues that I believe are pertinent to a discussion on products from vendors on Massdrop. This is Not Kickstarter, Massdrop does a good job vetting their vendors and so far does not seem to fear honest discussion based on real life verifiable facts. I haven't said anything negative or derogatory about anyone or any product here, I have simply asked valid and fair questions that I'd like answered before I spend my hard earned money.

HammerHandIf MassDrop does a good job vetting their vendors, then that wouldn't require you to post statements that are irrelevant such as this:
"Amber, that's not clear and transparent, CRL is owned and run by your father and it's well known that they've had some problems and set up family members as "independent". In this way CRL is able to run multiple projects and get around KS rules."
MassDrop issued a voting process for Amber's product and it became active after being selected by the community, irrespective of the method of production and how it is outsourced. As you said, this is MassDrop and not Kickstarter, so bringing this matter up only highlights your trolling.
And since you said you have spent over $600 on MassDrop products, I'll just leave this extract from MassDrop's FAQ as a reminder to you:
<Community Seal of Approval All of our products have been voted, debated and selected by the community as the best. You can buy with confidence even if you aren't familiar with a certain product.>
Unless you have anything constructive to add to the discussion except for defending your trollish comments, I'd suggest you refrain from embarrassing yourself further.

BuDn3kkIDYou're making this thread a whole lot more personal than it has to be. If he doesn't want to buy the dice, then leave him alone. I'm sure hes not alone when he says the price is not justified.
