The brown herringbone metal piece actually peeled off. I am disappointed as the leather is good but ruin by bad hardware
Informed customer service that I live in Singapore and if I need a replacement I have to send my bracelet to USA and pay for shipping to and fro.
I was told that the base metal is rust resistance and i am really skeptical about it as the coating is done in poor taste.
Worse hardware I ever seen from a leather company as it peeled off within 10 minutes of usage

What a bummer to use American as a brand name. Although I have issues with saddleback hardware, their customer support resolves issues. Unlike ABC....
Benjrmin I find this critique to be unfair, so I'm going to address it as best I can.
What you are seeing are markings from the casting process. In a casting mold, each piece has a stem and the stem is detached from the piece after it is removed from the mold. These pieces are not finished with a high polish (which would remove this mark) because it would significantly increase the price of the bracelet and where this is a rugged style accessory as is, we didn't find that necessary. These markings do not affect the durability or lifespan of the clasp and they DO NOT mean that it is damaged or defective. This was all explained to the customer via email.
The real reason this customer wanted to exchange his bracelet was because of an issue with size, which he expressed to us after we informed him about the casting marks. And, as with all Massdrop members who have requested a size exchange, we told him that we would be happy to exchange the size FREE of charge. All he needed to do was cover shipping. Up until this point, everyone has been very appreciative of that, especially because Massdrop sells these bracelets with a no return/exchange policy.
It is super frustrating that we tried to accommodate this customer as best we could and he still goes ahead and accuses us of not taking care of customer service. If there is one thing we care more about than our products it is our customer service, and this type of response is just unfair.
Thank you though to everyone else in the Massdrop community who have been so awesome and motivate us to keep doing what we do everyday. You guys are awesome.

AmericanBenchCraftIt is not right to blast a customer when your product has issues.
Let me address all your negative accusations:
Firstly is it wrong for customer to ask for a larger size when it does not fit?
Secondly when product inherently is faulty on purchase. Is it wrong for the customer to feedback on coating wearing off?
Initially the silver hardware coating came off and I reached out to you. You said I had to pay for the shipping and send back the bracelet if I wanted it to be repaired. You know how much that costs? Honestly I am not trying to earn a quick deal on these bracelets. But it shows that you only offered to assist on the expense of your customers.
I did a drop on massdrop and had issues with a pair of shoes. The owner offered to ship it to me another pair of shoes to me free of charge from US but I rejected his offer as it was too costly for him
I can even call out the massdrop campaigner here to prove my claim.
I have not replied to your email because I find it futile to get a replacement. Because the hardware for brass or silver coating is just bad. I have a fish hook from a sprezzabox and that does not even peel off.
I did not want to have anything to do with your shop because I can see how defensive you are to criticisms and the mediocre workmanship done to save $
BenjrminWe did not blast you. We did our best to explain exactly what the photo was that you sent along, and how it had nothing to do with coating coming off or faulty hardware. We stated facts and explained the markings in a very detailed and precise manner, which so far you seem to have ignored and continue to ignore. If the hardware was faulty we would have absolutely replaced this free of charge and never asked you to pay for shipping.
As for a size exchange, AGAIN, we are happy to offer size exchanges to our Massdrop customers. Even though Massdrop lists these sales with a no return/exchange policy, we feel it is fair to still offer this service free of charge, and all we ask is that the customer covers shipping.
You made false claims and accusations and we defended ourselves. Sorry if that upset you.
