Here's a look at the interior. The internal material is kind of water resistant. With toiletries, it will get funky but you can machine wash it to mitigate the smell. It's really just a quick access pouch to attach onto the assault pack for random stuff. It's got the capacity to handle basic toiletries but I wouldn't recommend it for such a use as the fabric exterior just sucks up any water around it. Machine washing it will help but it won't completely rid it of the smell.
