Just received my brown belt with brass buckle, and am truly disappointed. The buckle is brass but the prong is silver (stainless steel). IMO....this looks completely stupid! Why would you do that?? Looking back at the picture, the prong does look silver, so I guess I am stuck with this, but it is ugly and stupid looking. Who would make a two-tone buckle?? That's why this crap is being mass sold on Massdrop and you can't return items. If you could make returns, they would have a slew of them.
Last time I will ever buy anything from Massdrop again. Was apprehensive about buying things without seeing them and my concerns were justified.
Steven1 We appreciate feedback from our customers both positive and negative, and in every case we do everything in our power to address concerns and make sure we are moving forward with happy, satisfied customers, and getting better and better as a company and business.
This is not one of those cases. Steven, your comment was rude, childish, and not helpful at all. The photo clearly shows the buckle with a stainless steel tongue. If you don’t like it, fine, but that doesn’t make our belt mass produced "crap”. Each belt is handcrafted in our workshop one at a time with extreme care and consideration.
I can’t speak for Massdrop, but we will not lose any sleep over losing someone like you as a customer.
For everyone else reading this, if you have any issues with any of our products, please feel free to reach out to us directly and we will do everything in our power to ensure you are happy. As a matter of fact, this person called our company to complain about the belt and we told him we would try and find him a buckle that would suit his taste and replace it at our cost to resolve this amicably.
After reading this comment, we will no longer be accommodating this gentleman. If there is one thing we care more about than our craft it is the satisfaction of our customers. But we expect some degree of civility. We will not tolerate any kind of disrespect to our customer service reps, makers or anyone else that works for our company.
With that said, for anyone else who has questions or concerns about our belts or any of our products, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will do anything and everything in our power to ensure you are a completely satisfied customer. All of our products and workers are located at our facility in Massachusetts and we resolve all customer service inquiries ourselves, so that we can ensure all of our customers receive the courtesy and respect they deserve.

I strongly believe in great customer service (being in the CS industry myself) but one that is both mutually respectful of one another. Your stance on this entitled fool of an (ex) customer is to be admired. Cheers!
