Ways to get a much better price: 1. Buy a prebuilt, you can get an even better priced GPU based upon the prebuilt 2. Nvidia has MSRP priced cards in stock pretty often, look out for them 3. MicroCenter has a policy nationally where you can buy the parts for a whole PC at a greatly reduced price
Do NOT settle and delude yourself into thinking this is a good deal - cause it's certainly not.

Bad timing on this deal, the new Nvidia Turing cards will likely be announced & on sale by mid April. The only GPU anyone should buy at present is an EVGA model because of their ‘step up’ program, otherwise you’re paying $950 for a gpu that will be compara to the next generation’s mid-tier Model that usually launches at a price betwee $450 & $550. And as this drop doesn’t ship until 3/19, it just makes it more frustrating.
My advice, register for email notifications on evga for sll of their 1080ti cards and buy whatever comes in stock first. register the card And when the new cards get released use EVGA’s step up to get the next gen card.
Not taking a swing at massdrop, just my honest advice.

Man Gigabyte lost another customer. No reason for them to sell this for more than MSRP. I mean you can go over to EVGA and Nvidia and buy direct for MSRP. Yes everything is probably out of stock again on those sites but they have been restocking frequently and you just have so watch for them...Also lol I bought this card for $650 just 8 months ago on here.

lol Massdrop is a load of crap. Nvidia official store is getting stock in soon and $699 free ship for Founders Edition direct from nvidia will be a thing in a couple weeks. just be patient mates and stop letting these companies scam you. lol Massdrop, I expected better of you considering your business model LOL .... Newegg and other sellers are making loads of profit by selling higher, not Nvidia, yet "you work directly with the manufacturer, no 3rd party seller" and still raise the price, LOL wow... I am done with Massdrop forever.

Thank you for saying this. Way too many people on here lately who seem to have forgotten the whole point of Massdrop...
Also, thank you for sharing what Nvidia told you about the pricing forecast. Most consumers would never hear such insider info, so that is very much appreciated, especially for first-time builders like me who FINALLY have enough to build a rig, and... well... here we are.
Anyway, thanks Hutch and MD!
Howdy Everyone,
I just want to be clear as there have already been discussion about the Destiny 2 Code. Massdrop is not offering the Destiny 2 code in this drop. We will not be able to assist you in any way to obtain a Destiny 2 code. I would not count on being able to get the codes directly through Gigabyte or Nvidia as that is not how it works.
The Geforce experience will not give you a code just because you purchased this card. The codes are given out manually to each individual purchaser and Gigabyte will not issue those codes directly to you, neither will Nvidia. Massdrop does not have codes for this drop and will not be able to get them. We will also NOT be offering any type of credit or refund for those expecting to get the codes due to post in this discussion.
Cheers.

It is most definitely not I literally just bought a nvidia 1080 FE for $550. My friend bought an MSI GTX 1080 TI two days ago for $769 on amazon when they were in stock for ~10 mins. How are you going to say it’s fake lol.

Just wait, Nvidia is releasing their new cards in less than a month.
MSRP for these is like 750 so it's not a good deal anyway. Kryptonite is crashing soon with all the legislation being drawn up and taxes needing to be paid so we're going to see the market FLOODED with used cards by Summer.

Okay. Mine arrived finally but I'm writting this in case it can help someone in doubt like me. I'm from Spain and I bought it on 17 Oct. -Massdrop price: 753.59$/661,84€. -Spain Price: 840€. On 7th of Nov it was shipped (Estimated was 9th). It arrived on 22 of Nov.
Luckily it wasn't stopped for customs. An object like this might be 150€ customs (dunno). Last thing is I had to contact NVIDIA cause Destiny code is region lock. So let's see what they answer me.
So... finally the experience was better than worse. Long time to recieve it, but 180€ cheaper than here if it isn't stopped for customs.
PS: Excuse my english. PS2: Thanks Massdrop!
