CTS-BD1N Steel: A Chef’s Best Friend
A versatile blade for slicing veggies and fruit, trimming poultry, and cutting through slabs of meat, this 10-inch Chef’s knife is a go-to for any cook and comes with an environmentally friendly magnetic bamboo sheath($25 value). The bamboo sheath has magnets along the spine so the edge of the blade never comes in contact with the sheath. With its longer cutting edge, you can keep the tip of the knife down on the board for a fine mince on herbs and spices, too. The blade is made from American nitrogen-enriched, wear-resistant CTS-BD1N steel that’s hardened to 63 on the Rockwell Scale, which means it will hold its edge over time. The contoured handle is made from black linen micarta. Holding it all together are stainless steel rivets and a polished stainless steel end cap.
