Remove Corny Graphic?
I'm wondering if any one has removed the corny screen print graphics on the front of the unit. The script font and the anthropomorphized Tube playing a horn are a bit too much for my tastes.

YekrutYeah, I bought it because I love the form factor. Obviously, I don't want to damage the anodized finish of the aluminum case it's so gorgeous. But that graphic, tho... :-/
This convo talks about something similar, https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/387104-how-to-remove-screenprint-from-anodized-aluminum/, but it's not conclusive...

mmmmmmdropJust so you know that is a classic logo used on very high end Amperex "bugle boy" tubes from the golden age of tube audio the 50's and 60's. : )

jportmanHey. That's interesting. i did not know this. I don't know that it makes it better or worse... I don't suspect that the tubes on these are Amperex.

Small, when used on a tube, that trademark is not too bad. But at the size and contrast it displays on the front of these amps.

mmmmmmdropToo much to go into here. "Tube Rolling" i.e. trying different tubes in your amp is one of the side benefits/activities hobby of tube gear besides the great sound. Most of the new tubes sound inferior to the ones made in the in the 50-80's. Construction, material quality, (some even had gold pins!) skill in assembly all were factors, Plenty of "new old stock" tubes are available from tube retailers and eBay to support your quest in achieving the perfect sound balance for you. Have fun.
