I had a somewhat similar mini-amp before in bedroom, connected to homemade 1-way speakers and a Bluetooth receiver. A 21st century tube radio, if you will. This amp probably has similar switched-mode power supply which allows to use a small and cheap power transformer. And after 2 years of heavy use a key semiconductor component in the power supply just broke, and local shop concluded it's not worth reparing.
But I really liked the sound, it was very loud for its watts as tube amps often are, so I joined the drop. This has much larger casing so perhaps it runs cooler. The one that broke was almost too hot to touch after an hour of use. Class A + Tube = warm in every sense of the word.
I like those tube tips you guys gave.

BuckTheBarbarI had Miniwatt N3 chi-fi amp similar to http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-APPJ-EL84-12AX7B-MINI-Tube-Integrated-Audio-Amp-original-miniwatt-N3-1PC-/321113627106?hash=item4ac3dd19e2:g:eR4AAOxyTMdTNT1u with EL84's. Replaced the originals with NOS Siemens ones I had at home.

hiilariOne thing to note is there are limited output tube rolling options with this amp without adapters.

g_v_lNoted. Good they seem to be abundant on the web. Most adapters don't look too nice though
