There is a lot of concern about Model #'s. I did some research and we should all have the newest model. As posted above, "2014 editions are those with serial numbers that begin --->AFTER<--- M1C (silver) and M1D (black)."
So if you received one like mine, a M1F, or a M1G etc etc. You're good to go.
More Tips:
1. It's about 70% charge when you first get it. Charge it up until the Heat LvL 7 is a Solid Light
2. Break-In. I heard a lot of people complaining about an electric smell. You can break in the unit by heating it up to the max temperature for 5 minutes. Turning the unit off, letting it cool down, and then repeat the process just a couple more times.
3. Higher temp settings does not equal better. Try and start @ 3 or 4.
