I picked up a slightly different ArmourLite model around six months ago. Been wearing it everyday and have been very happy with it. Probably my most favorite watch ever. One question though: Why are gold pvd watches/bands so rare in this category (field, functional) of watches. I would buy this model in gold, with either face color, in a heartbeat.
j.w.wimpyHi j.w.wimpy, we're happy to read of your experience with your ArmourLite! I discussed your question with our design and marketing teams this morning and they explained that for the MIL/LE/Outdoors markets, gold is a tough sell. On the other hand, in our Isobrite Grand Slimline Series we did make a rose gold model since it's more of a 'dressy' watch. What are your thoughts on this particular look?

ArmourLiteThank you for the reply. When it comes to clothing and accessories, I tend to prefer the functional and durable over the fashionable. I like your "Field" series of watches because the case and crystal can take a beating, the metal strap is solid and secure, and the design is pretty straight-forward and not overly complicated (does anyone really use the half-dozen dials on a chronograph?). The slimline watch (for which you have included photos) is alright, but it is more of a "dressier" watch and doesn't really do anything for me. The case color is kinda' "meh". Leather bands (which is what one would expect to see on this watch) are out. I often perspire quite a bit when working in the summer months and a metal band is far easier to clean and keep looking good. One thing I've learned to look for in a watch is good contrast between the hands and the face. In the daytime, the dark hands against the black face of this watch would make it hard to read in daylight or low light conditions (old eyes at work here). When I asked about a gold pvd T25, I hadn't thought about your markets (MIL/LE/Outdoors ). I guess I can see why gold isn't a big seller (sigh). Thanks once again.
