mbofieThank you! We really appreciate the opportunity Massdrop provides us to be able to directly communicate with the Massdrop community and answer questions/concerns as quickly as possible. We consider it one of the most valuable aspects of the Massdrop experience. It's a pity that other companies/manufacturers don't see it that way.
I bought the ISO401 about three months ago, and it's become my favorite wrist watch. And I have a LOT of wrist watches, and over the years have owned even more.
Normally, I wouldn't dream of preferring a quartz over a mechanical, mainly on principle. Even so, this is the watch I now wear every day. Frankly, I'm not crazy about the red accents on the dial, and would have preferred the case to be all black. But I've learned to accept the dial's style; I can see the time instantly, without having to stare at the hands. Everything lines up properly. And it really is bright, much brighter than my T25 watches, and helps visibility even in only slightly dark conditions. At night it's practically a source of light all by itself. The strap is very comfortable, and long.
Accuracy is virtually perfect: about half a second in three months. None of the mechanical wrist watches and pocket watches I own even come close--not even a couple of Bulova Precisionist movement watches I own.
The watch also seems to be very durable, and my experience dealing with ArmourLite has been very positive in every way. All things considered, I would definitely buy another one.
EDC-TryhardHello, we offer tritium replacement at $10.00 per marker and it requires the replacement of all the markers at the same time. The service also requires a minor or major overhaul since the watch must be disassembled. The specifics can be found here: https://www.armourlite.com/assets/images/repairs/AWC_Repair_Form.pdf
We get asked quite often if someone can upgrade from T25 to T100 markers. Unfortunately, this is not possible since the dial and hands of a T25 watch are only able to fit T25 tubes. T100 watches have dials and hands that allow for the larger T100 tubes.
Good lord, if I'm spending $350+ on a quartz watch the second hands had better damn well line up with the markers like a fricking laser beam. In neither of these videos are they even close. The goofy engraved Timex my wife got me for my birthday manages to do this for a third the cost. I would love a tritium watch, and these have good styling, but I just will not pay so much money for careless manufacturing flaws when the market has become so competitive in this price range.
