Finally after three years replaced the battery. Used a Swiss (Victorinox) watchmakers knife to pop the back off. Swiss factory in Ibach Switzerland taught me how to do this on their watch line, and procedure was same for the Armorlite. No scarring or scraping. I do not recommend using a screwdriver-knife-butter knife, etc. as one slip from them groove will damage this fine device. If you don't have a proper tool, please take it to a watch seller in the mall or a watch repair shop. It is worth the cost to have it done right. The removal notch is at the 11 O'clock position, and easy to remove. Dropped a new battery in and back in service again. It still keeps perfect time.
