All that face and just a tiny little clock...
Says zero sold now, yesterday one sold? That’s a shame, maybe the buyer couldn’t get his bank loan approved 😂

21mins before the drop ends and it has 2 sold :O
Does anyone knows if the watch is coming with original box and papers, despite the lack of warranty?
2 sold :O
This watch is why they invented pitchforks and torches.

drop hasnt ended yet. my wrist is ready.. its ovulating
I am not going to bump this piece for why it IS or ISN'T worth $65k, as it's value can and should only be measured by it's owner. This is a Luxury time piece, with a pedigree in horology that can be traced back for 254 years. And though the Citizen Group is now the owner for Arnold & Son, they have kept a strictly hands off approach to the company management, which is still firmly very Swiss. The choices of metals, materials, craftsmanship and design choices are what add to that pedigree and justify a piece of this caliber to it's buyer. Many people will never understand the desire to have a piece like this, and that's ok, this isn't, (and many times ANY analog watch) simply will not make sense to that person. Trust me though, when you have on a watch that you look at to mark the moments, purposes, goals and achievements with, it all comes back when you look at that very piece. It can be a $55 dollar Swatch or a $50000 AP, but it happens. Can't put a finger on it, won't try to explain it here, don't know if it makes sense even, but it does happen. I know some of the people at Massdrop, and they are good people. The team in the Watch community KNOW and appreciate timepieces. They might be here to sell a product, but they truly do have a passion and understanding of the mechanics of what makes a watch a "why" and "want", and that could be any watch, and the chords it needs to play. I wouldn't be a new or uninitiated first time buyer of any expensive watch and go online to get it, period. I am not a first time buyer though, and would therefore have ZERO problem buying any luxury watch on Massdrop, and only a handful of online retailers get that respect from me. Whomever purchases one of these lovely timepieces, congratulations! I hope we get a chance to see a glimpse or two in the community, and if even if not, wear it in good health and spirit Cheers

Nobody likes to pay 3 x the price no matter how much money they have. It ain’t the money it’s the principle.

I couldn't agree more... Also what about the poor sod who saved up there entire life to buy this watch at $65K, then to see it at under $20K. It would be like a swift kick in the balls.
I heard this watch actually controls time.
Drivinfast247
it doesn't, the things I would do if it did though!
I've been on Massdrop for too long to be shocked by this drop (or the recycled comments). I like the design and would've probably considered it if I was looking for a new watch and this was within my price bracket. A bit of a shame you need to venture into 5 figures to get Sapphire on both sides.
DimaG
You can pick up sapphire on both sides at the four digit range as well -- Nomos Orion, there's a Speedy with a sapphire back as well as a number of Seamasters just to name a few. Edit: apparently, the Steinhart Ocean 2 Premium also has a sapphire back and that's still in the three figure range.
DimaG
Couldn't you just take any time piece to a watch place and ask them to put a sapphire back?
1 sold!!! Holy shit!! I thought this was going away with no takers! Congrats on the buyer! Please post pictures when you get it!
lmao why is this on massdrop
aderrrrrk

Tokyoexpressway
And you should. You’ll have the time to get this later if it fancies cheers
I'll take two.
what the actual f*ck !!!???
Not a bad idea.....MD let’s make some serious money.... what a joke”..” Really that’s the price...can’t we negotiate? haha Put some realistic watches first, pleaseeee...I think your customers might digest Briteling, Omega, Grand Seiko etc .... but $18k watch I bet they don’t even peep! Good-luck
If I was to make a watch purchase of this magnitude, I'd have to see it on my wrist first and get a full manufacturer warranty. Regardless, it's priced well and it's a beautiful piece.

Indeed, many luxury haute horlogerie manufacture can (and will) refuse service on a piece depending on channels by which it was obtained. Even lesser brands such as Rolex or Grand Seiko have been known to refuse service on a watch with a “questionable” purchase history or over having been extensively modified. The Massdrop 1 year warranty is pretty well regarded though (at least on lesser priced products), and generally if any issue does come up on a timepiece, it will show itself pretty quickly within the first 4-6 weeks of wearing it consistently. cheers

Well said. I think anyone who is not familiar with purchasing luxury or a haute horological time piece should defiantly peruse a face to face experience and completely educate themselves on the piece at hand before buying. If you are going to make a first luxury Watch purchase online though, this is a terribly tempting offer from Massdrop. The comfort of the one year warranty is enough for most issue to be brought to light and resolved, as the MD warranty seems well sorted (though admittedly that is on MUCH less expensive items) cheers
I can buy a used Hybrid sedan at this price!!
andrewebay1
indeed you can. Or put a down payment on a house, or push a year of college, or mark a moment in time with a piece like this. Cheers

One person is having a moment it seems. Very nice!
As usual, you can find them for similar price new and even cheaper used on places like chrono24

lol why you gotta hate on MD tho. I don't see a single watch on chrono24 that's less
bob_the_builder
link or it didn't happen, bubby. as usual.
Wow, the movement is amazing :o
Could've dumped in a date function for the price...
DimaG
OMG no. Some watches would be well served with a busy dial. Not this one.
DimaG
True.. But it's pretty much this or the Tag Heuer Tourbillon, and I'd rather choose this.
Anyone know if this comes with a NATO strap?
Alright.......now all I need is someone to donate 18995$ to me. It is all for a tourbillion cause.
We can all agree that this would likely not sell, even though the price is reasonable for a non-Chinese tourbillon. I do appreciate the attention that massdrop is giving to the watch community. In my opinion, I see drops like this as more of a survey to gauge the limits to what people would spend here. It's not like any reputable swiss manufacturer needs massdrop to make a profit. It would be a win-win for all of us watch nerds and massdrop if more manufacturers begin to collaborate with massdrop like they do for example in the audiophile community. Imagine a Seiko X Massdrop, Oris X Massdrop, or even a Hamilton X Massdrop.

Like we see everyday.
hernandoco
At least it got one buy!
You can count me in ..... A few movements on some accounts and taking out on my IRA but I'm in .... Can't beat this price and pass on owning a Time piece of this caliber. Awesome Massdrop
Great price and tempted to order. One thing though, I would question A&S market value if the watch retail for $60k and grey market is around 50% off already and here offered as new about 70% off retail, it doesn't do the brand any favor by having the value devalue that much and this is the kind of things that turn off collectors and 2nd hand watch buyers. I don't expect it to retain crazy value like Rolex or Patek but 70% off? that's a tough hit to swallow. Great for the collector buying it for the fantastic movement and Tourbillion for a "relatively" affordable price. Kind of on the fence on this.. One question though, will mfg warranty still apply to this watch purchased through Massdrop?
Scblacksunshine
its not very likely a manufacturer warranty would apply. Even more to a point, it is not very easy nor intuitive trying to find exactly WHAT the garantie’ is thats offered by Arnold & Son. This a luxury item that would appear follow the thought that if you can afford the piece itself, you can afford anything that comes with a $60,000 timepiece. best
