$400 for a desk that looks like a diner table... a $400 borderline prefab table.

WanooknoxHi, a lot of these sorts of comments have been covered on the drops of the original product. Most people that actually saw the product in person were eventually persuaded of both its quality and the value. This is an 85 lb, solidly designed, purpose-built item. ArozziScottI appreciate your efforts to persuade me, but I just don't see the value in the specs sheet alone. I'm sure it's a fine desk, I just think that base price is kinda crazy. I doesn't even telescope to be a standing desk. I already have a Torretta chair which I like, so I know you guys make decent stuff. The table top mouse pad is a nice touch, so kudos on that, but the rest of the table is pretty simple.
I'm not in the market for a desk right now anyway.

WanooknoxThat's fine. I don't expect everyone to buy, I just want to clear up people's questions. Manufacturing and shipping 85 lb products is not inexpensive. I realize most people don't have any insight to that. Like, for example, last drop someone tried to compare it to a $200 desk at Ikea. Completely ignoring the fact that Ikea prices do not include shipping ( I checked, they would charge $130 to ship it to my house) and never mind that the Ikea product does not have a mousepad or cable management cut-outs and cable storage netting.

ArozziScottTo be honest I hadn't considered shipping. I just assumed it was extra. But I was think of it in comparison to other similarly sized desks in that price range. If it was a telescoping stand desk I'd call it a killer deal.
FWIW at the drop price I think it's totally worth it.
