Alright so I finally had the opportunity to not only setup the desk. Honestly, I have to say that I'm really disappointed... that I didn't build up my expectations even higher ahead of time! (totally got eem!)
This thing is everything I hoped for and then some. Seriously, for a piece of furniture that'so important to my occupation (60-70+ hours a week as a web developer working remotely) and then everything else I do on the computer to decompress/unwind such as shopping on Massdrop, playing way fewer games on Steam than I buy, chatting with friends on Discord/Teamspeak/Hangouts, watching TV & movies over Plex & Netflix, etc., I couldn't be more happy. I've been trying to find something perfect and for a reasonable price for a long time. I'm not even that picky on the perfect part because I thought I'd have to settle if I wanted to buy something that wasn't too expensive. I'm really happy I didn't settle and waited until I had a move date set into my new house to really get serious on purchasing and planning out my new battlestation (Reddit calls them battlestations, I've been referring to it as Mission Control). Longer story short, this thing is great.
I'll leave a bit more details later, but I figured for now I'd share some pictures I took as I was deploying my rig to the desk. Just waiting on some monitor arms/mounts that are coming via UPS from Amazon so that I can really make it perfect. The shipment was delayed by a day because of the category 5 hurricane about to slam into Florida (where I reside, good times). Hopefully I receive that tomorrow and can continue to complete my setup.
Here's the view from the back, showing how important the cable management gets. I wasn't using it yet because given the amount of peripherals I needed to hook up, and how exhausted I was from moving, I wanted to prototype the setup before I started really getting into the cables:

And the view of Mission Control from the chair (excuse the lighting, high hat lighting is not finished in this room yet and the hurricane shutters went up yesterday). Just to give you an idea of what this thing can handle in terms of its size, that's a 24", 27", and a vertical 24" LCD from left to right:

My headset hanger clamped onto the desk, underneath the mousemat with barely an effect on the mat above it:

Finally, my first pass on cable management for some external HDDs and the monitors (still plenty more to go). The netting is impossible to see unless you sit on the floor or crawl under the desk, and if you're using it just for cables and keeping your surge protector on the ground or mounted to the metal frame as @NoNeedForSpeed suggested it won't sag at all except just enough to cradle the cables:

I'm loving this desk and can't wait for the finishing touches to come in today. Thanks for all your help, Massdrop and @ArozziScott for answering all my questions. I'll post some more pictures once I have the setup completed!
