I purchased this chair outside of Massdrop. I find the chair itself to be fairly well-made, but found it a poor fit for me personally. This is my first gaming/racing chair, so maybe I'm not quite used to this form factor. I've only ever used office chairs in the past. I used it for several months and here are my thoughts:
Pros: - Well-constructed overall, no apparent flimsiness here like you might have with a generic office chair - The wheels work nicely on hard flooring. - Materials throughout seem sturdy. - Padding on the seat and pillows are firm and seem like they'd last a while. The lumbar pillow is also adjustable via stretchy bands. - Tilt and armrest adjustments are nice and smooth.
Cons: - Form factor of the chair is confining. (For reference, I'm 5'11", 185lbs with an athletic build). The two shoulder "wings" are tilted forward which force your shoulders forward if you lean back against the chair, so I found it hard to maintain good posture while leaning back. - The seat base is also a bit small. The raised edges on the sides of the seat forced my legs into one position with little room to move (I like to shift in my seat somewhat often).
I did contact their support to see if there were maybe some settings/adjustments I could make to make it better for me. They responded quickly, but unfortunately there wasn't anything they could recommend other than looking at their Vernazza series (I don't know the differences between the two series). I would recommend the chair if this type of form factor works for your body type. I gave the chair a shot, but unfortunately it doesn't work for my body type/sitting preference.
