My chair's gas lift has also wedged itself in to the ground; very bad design flaw. When I contacted Arozzi, they immediately said they would take care of it, but having not received anything (either via shipping or email) and after trying to recontact Arozzi, still no word. Definitely cannot recommend a company who doesn't stand behind their defective products.
dmh125Hi, we are sorry for this issue. It impacted a few Vernazza chairs because of a flaw in the base. We definitely stand behind our products. You can see that in discussion groups all around Massdrop. That said, our service team has been a bit short-handed and we just got two new people on board to help through the busy holiday season. I am quite sure you'll be hearing from them soon and getting your replacement part. We do apologize when there are delays but, you know, we are a company run by and staffed by humans. And, probably like the place you work, sometimes things don't always work the way we expect but, also probably like where you work, we do our best to get it back on track.
dmh125Hi DMH, Can you please let me know what ticket number is yours and i will look into that immediately. We are certain we have been in contact with everyone who is requesting spare parts. Thank you

dmh125I just wanted to update my review. Arozzi sent out replacement parts (a new lift and base) and I'm happy to report that it *appears* the design flaw has been addressed. The bottom of the lift is now substantially off the floor, at least an inch or maybe as much as 3cm, or about two thicknesses of my pinky finger, LOL! Even if the lift were to wedge down in another 1cm, it would still easily clear the floor. Good job Arozzi! I'll go ahead an retract my non-recommendation. I'll update in the future if anything changes.

dmh125Is it a design flaw? Seems more like it was a faulty unit... especially considering every person who purchased this chair isn't on here having the same issues... Glad it worked out and that you updated when it got sorted.

louie_doggIt is a design flaw. Every other chair I've ever owned in the past had what I call a "physical stop" where the lift cannot drop down any further unless there were to be a catastrophic break. This design has no stop - the lift has a slight wedge shape and that is all keeping it from wedging down in further. Now, if the base were made of metal, which doesn't give, this design would have been fine. However, since the base is made of plastic, which is softer and gives a little, the lift is able to wedge down in too far. It does take a lot of force to wedge it in further - something which most people probably haven't done (yet). I change the height of my chair often to accommodate PC gaming with my young nephews, and one day while lowering the chair, it gained momentum and the lift went all the way to the floor. This is the design flaw - no "physical stop" for the lift/base design.
dmh125Sorry, just saw this. It is a defect. Some bases were incorrectly produced. We've tried to pull them all off but there is just not a way to know where they all are. So, our customer service department will take care of you if it happens. service@arozzi.com
