OK, hard to pass up this price, but I've got some special needs that I'd like ArozziScott to address: 1) I'm 6'-6" tall. I know my fit in this particular chair will suffer because of that fact, but will I be wasting my money trying to make it work? As long as I can get some relief when I lean my head back right at the base of my skull (+/-), I can live with that. Hard to estimate from just the raw measurements though. Hoping someone in your office is about my height and can let you know how they feel about it. 2) I fluctuate between 270 and 280 lbs. More often than not, I'm about half way in between. Is the 290 lb. weight limit on the Pro a reliable limitation? I've never gone over 280, but 280 is still pushing right up against it and it makes me nervous. The chair I'd be replacing with this one is always losing pressure in the gas cylinder, and even at a great price like this one, I'd be pretty upset if it was doing the same thing because the 290 limit was exaggerated. Hope that's not the case. Can only take your word for it that it's not because I haven't found a brick & mortar location where I can actually sit in one. But I will take your word for it that it will carry my weight if you say so. 3) The padding in the chair I use now never was very good, but it's completely useless now, and I haven't had it very long at all. It's a cheapie though. I need the seat to be nicely-padded, but durable enough that the padding won't flatten out for a pretty long time. I put a lot of hours in my chair, some days as many as 10 - average days probably more like 5 or 6. I both work and game from home, so that explains that. Don't know how you'd explain the padding "factor" for this chair, but try if you would please. Thanks for any help you can offer.
BlueTomHi, so the gas lift is actually rated to 330 lbs. But this chair I think would be little snug for you. I don't want you to be disappointed. I would suggest waiting for our Vernazza to come around again. I just think you will be more comfortable with it, especially because it has soft sides that go upwards on the chair seat, not the hard bolsters like this one. Even our V2 version of the Verona Pro would be a bit more comfortable because of the 6/10" extra wide.

ArozziScottWell, thanks for the reply, but after writing that long post I went ahead and joined the drop maybe an hour later. "Hard bolsters like this one" makes me nervous. My hate for the chair I have now may have gotten the better of me, which might've been the case even if I'd seen this reply before I joined this drop anyway. At this price, I could probably come close, if not all the way, to getting my money back out of it, but I've been this size all my adult life (I'm 62 now) and have always had to compromise on furniture of all kinds, or else pay more than I'm willing to spend for custom-fit stuff. I will probably love it. Has to be better than what I've got now, and most chairs in the $160 range I couldn't say that about. Thanks again.
BlueTomYes, I am sure you will like it. When I make recommendations I tend to be conservative if I can...don't want to over promise.

ArozziScottHey Scott, I just got notified of account-debit for this drop, but it only shows $149.99. I already contacted Massdrop CS and haven't heard back from them yet, but wanted to give you a heads-up too so you can make sure I get a Pro instead of the non-Pro version. Was expecting invoice for $159.99. Thanks.
BlueTomHi Tom, MD collects the payments and tells us what to ship. Yes, please contact them and ask them to adjust. We have no power in that part of the transaction. Sorry.

ArozziScottI did contact them and all I got was a notification just a few minutes ago that the group's order has been forwarded to you. Since you were out of every other color of the Pro version than the (green) one I accepted as being still available, I'm thinking that maybe the inventory control part of the drop hadn't updated by the time I joined, and that there really weren't any Pros left for me to be charged for. I don't want the non-Pro version because of my weight, and I'm hoping you will confirm for me one way or the other which version is slated to be delivered to me since Massdrop hasn't responded to my inquiry of about 26 hours ago. I can't have them "adjust" for a Pro version if there aren't any Pro versions left to send me, and I'm very frustrated with them not checking with me first before charging me if that's the case. Surely you have a contact at MD that you can alert that a customer might be getting charged for something he didn't order, and get them to get in touch with me ASAP to work it out. Please.
BlueTomI have looked at your transaction and you in fact are getting the Verona Pro - Green/White/Black. So, not to worry.
Cheers.
