why wasn't this drop more popular? it seemed like a great deal for a high quality US made heavy duty tote
any chance you will offer the Kit Bag or Weekender Tote sometime?

I have three Artifact bags (the beauty of living in their city is that they sell discounted bags that are being discontinued). I have a small clutch that I use for the small things that regularly transfer between bags, a leather-bottomed field bag that I use for work, and an all canvas tote that I use my casual carry. I’ve had them all for more than a year and a half and they are all holding up beautifully. I regularly load the latter two up with computers, bottles of wine, as many pieces of paper as I can, etc.. The bags are all handmade and very, very sturdy. I promise that you cannot go to Trader Joe’s and get an equally good bag for $10.

Go to Trader Joe's; get a better bag for $10. This is literally just a shopping bag made of a cloth material. What is the justification for the price? You can get a really nice leather briefcase for this amount.

Typhoon859Same argument could be used to justify only buying a Yugo car, wearing only clothing from a discount store, etc.
Go ahead with that if that works for you. I certainly want better.

DDroNo, because the only reason I made that argument is because I didn't see a difference. I find the Trader Joe's bag to be of sufficient quality and didn't see a way to make one much better using also just cloth. For the price difference and at the price range of this one, I was saying you can get like a very firm and quality leather bag, so I was just missing the point of this one. Clayeh there above kind of clued me in. In no way am I an advocate of cheap crap. It's actually almost never cost efficient in the long run anyway.

The shipment has arrived! After a minor UPS delay, the group's bulk order landed at our warehouse in New Jersey and our team has been hard at work breaking down the shipment into the individual packages. Bulk order shipped! The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive by the end of next week.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Artifact Bag Co. Tool & Garden Tote and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 10/19.

Does anyone have experience with both Filson and Artifact Bag Co. and could compare their products?

tlmaderThat's a tricky comparison. What I can say is that although Filson has their own proprietary canvas material they use on their similar style bags (Tin Cloth) and that may give them a leg up in some people's minds, Artifact Bag Co. has impeccable built quality, from the finishing to the rivets on key stress points they make truly rugged bags.
