Kavik$19 less! May not seem much until you look at it in terms of percentage of price on these less-expensive knives. Take that SMKW price and add 50% and you have the MassDrop price. I don’t like That at all!

KavikI’m not normally the “percentage guy”; I’m the “likes to foster healthy retail relationships” guy. I’ll ignore a few percentage points here or there in pursuit of good customer service. I gotta say that I’m paying attention more now!

AxeguyOh sure, a couple bucks (or percent) here and there I overlook if there someone I want to support.... But I still always check first to make an informed decision. I'm too anal about that kind of stuff, i work with spreadsheets and grading metrics and percentages all day at work lol

KavikSo much for that ‘healthy separation of work and home’... I tried leaving my work brain at work for years... Never could manage that. Retired now (barely) but still fielding calls daily, lol. Not really looking forward to losing my work brain entirely! Maybe holding MD to the flame is a worthy application of the work brain now!?

That sounds like a good plan to me ;) I do enjoy this place, but really, they don't always provide the deals that should be expected from group buying power. If enough people pay attention, they'll have to change that to keep it going. Paying retail here and there on a drop to continue supporting the rest of the site is one thing, paying 20-40% over what something can be found elsewhere is charity, and they have more money than any of us combined already lol
