Just wondering is it CA legal?

twincengrayThat's a legal question, an important one, it could effect your freedom and your rights.
You don't ASK such questions to random strangers on the internet. You can carefully ANSWER such questions yourself by taking your time and diligently verifying sources.
Ultimately, you should retain a criminal defense attorney to keep you out of trouble.
I can provide you with a valid copy of the actual laws, straight from the CA Attorney General: http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/dwcl/dwc.pdf
But that's dated 2008...what changes have taken place? What other laws exist that remain valid, but didn't make it in to that travel brochure?
My understanding is that CA has ridiculous and frivolous firearms restrictions, but is fairly flexible on knives. Basically, no switch blades, and fixed knives must be carried openly (visible). In other words, nothing about this, or most folders, is in violation. AFAIK, there's no blade length restriction at all for folders.
Oh, don't forget to check County and City ordinances.
Massdrop has offices in San Francisco, they are restricted by same laws. They can't sell switchblades, for example, even to ship somewhere free.
You're probably fine, but I won't even take your call from jail, and I'm NOT bailing you out. If you want a referral to that lawyer, now's the time....

SpecialEdThanks for the response. The question was unclear. I was asking about the manufacturer's information. Some are claiming compliance with CA knife regulations. Like Kershaw claims that speed-safe is CA legal and CRKT came up with an automatic which has 1.5 inches blade specifically for CA. For this particular knife I agree with you - I do not see any issues.
