Good luck timbre matching these with your LCR's
LOL, ok, so what technology has changed in speaker design in the last 30 years, let alone 10? I'd give these a go in a heartbeat if I was in the market. I'm trying to suppress the buy button now on 2 pair.
12 year old tech with only 2 rear speakers offered as 'surround'
These are a better buy..

Discontinued or not....these seem to get good reviews. Looking for a new pair of surrounds. Hope this drop happens.
Disappointed to find what i thought was an exclusive buy for massdrop subscribers is actually a line run out of a product that is listed as legacy by the manufacturer. Fooled me twice, shamed..

I don't understand... I thought the criteria was $160 for a pair. Those Klipsch's you posted a link to are $289 a piece or $578

I would not say that is a fair comparison. I can find far better than the Klipsch's if we are not going to stay at $160 and price is not a criteria.
The Klipsch in this post are also over the $160 per pair, but the Yamaha are in the same price range. They won't work for me because I need a dipole since I am right up against the back wall. I have no idea how good the Yamaha are. I think the $120 price point appears to be their retail whereas the Artison sold for $600 or $300 each so they seem to be the best buy for the money, but just my thoughts. I have not heard either one.
I have a pair of these, I like them. I think I paid $200 5 years ago with a set of the older Artison Portrait LCR speakers (though those were used). I do like the way that the LRS really fill in the sound and are very nondirectional. The sound just sorta happens which makes it great for making a smaller space seem larger.
Hi all! This is the first drop we've run for on-wall and in-wall speakers. What are your thoughts on speakers requiring installation? Is this something you would like to see more of?

More on-walls please! These are great as home theater or projector speakers!
Discontinued by the manufacturer? No longer appears as a current product on their website.

Under "Legacy Products" which to me means discontinued.
