Celebrating 75 Years in Jazz & Blues

To commemorate Blue Note Records’ 75-year anniversary, the record company has teamed up with Astell & Kern to release this special package. It includes the highly regarded AK240 music player in an exclusive blue color, appointed with the Blue Note logo and preloaded with 75 Blue Note albums (valued at more than $1,500 for the whole package). Remastered as high-fidelity 24-bit/96-kHz files, the collection also comes on individual microSD cards in acrylic glass cases, which you can stack and show off on the included display tower. Relive Blue Note’s storied history, from Thelonious Monk’s first sessions to Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit. You’ll also get a hardbound book with original album artwork and Richard Havers’ new book, Blue Note: Uncompromising Expression.

About the AK240

A premium, feature-packed music player, the Astell & Kern AK240 builds on the success of the AK100 and AK120 models with improved left and right channel separation and 256 gigs of internal memory—that’s about 2,500 four-minute songs. The duo of Cirrus Logic 4398 DACs allows for native transferring of DSD files without first converting them to the PCM format. This allows for greater clarity, instrumental separation, and detail with little or no distortion. The player supports virtually any digital audio file up to 24-bit/192-kHz resolution, as well as double-rate DSD formats at a max 298 Mhz, and is complete with a touchscreen and physical volume knob. It can stream files wirelessly, or be used as a USB DAC for your Mac or PC.
