Just got my flashlight today, and the two 14500 rechargeable batteries I bought in advance do not fit. Too wide. I'll go buy the "unprotected" batteries mentioned by others. In general, I have to believe that a battery with a protection circuit probably has some advantages over "unprotected" batteries. Maybe the protection circuit prevents overcharging or excessive draining which can ruin LION batteries.
I summary - so far I am completely unimpressed with Astrolux.
BTW - the package was completely devoid of any documentation on batteries or operation.
BenNoirI was wondering the same thing about the documention. I haven't bought any kind of electric product in for as long as i can remember that didn't have some sort of documents with it. Anyone else receive documention with yours?
bri8619I was thinking the same thing. disappointed that there is no kind of documentation. I had to hunt around online to find instructions on how to operate the different modes.
SimongtiWould you post the link where you found the instructions, please? Haven't received my light yet, but have batteries and charger in route, so I will have that ready when light arrives. Would appreciate the link. Thanks, Simongti!
